Eyebrow lift is an aesthetical operation made for readjustment of the lateral corners of eyebrows. Sagging of the eyebrows creates a tired, sad and diseased image to the person with wrinkles of the forehead. Especially significant sagging on lateral sites of eyebrows gives the individual unhappy and tired impressions more noticeable.
How is eyebrow lift is performed?
Eyebrow lift operation is made in operating conditions in hospitals. It can be performed under local anesthesia and sedation if another operation will not be performed within the same surgery. In a eyebrow-lift operation entrance is made from a 3 cm incision made to scalp of temporal zone, tails of eyebrows are released and repositioned to its new place with desirable height. Botox injections are basic, effective but temporary methods for forehead wrinkles and eyebrows sagging. It is preferred for the patients who don't want surgical treatment.
How is postoperative phase of eyebrow lift?
After an eyebrow lift a bandage that gives the skin over the eyebrows tightness is made. Drainage can be removed next day. Patient can be discharged same day if a combined surgical operation is not performed. Numbness and asymmetry on operation zone is temporary. Avoidance from intense sun, solarium, sauna or Turkish bath and intense sportive activities is necessary for first 8 weeks.
